black lives matter movement
After the cops murdered George Floyd, who became another thin blue notch on the police force bed post, a spark was ignited that somehow felt different than in times past- for whatever reason. This spark quickly grew into a flame that spread, quite literally, like wildfire across the nation soon engulfing the world. It was a culmination of ugliness that had been festering for years- hundreds of years and collectively the consensus became “no more”. We are dealing with three pandemics; racism, capitalism and the most recent COVID-19 virus. Since Richmond’s day 1 I have been out showing my solidarity and documenting the direct action of this movement. These are sights from just one of countless cities showing their support around the nation and indeed the world. In chronological order are scenes I’ve captured in both digital and film form. This will be updated as long as it needs to be. No justice. No peace.
